h00ligan Posted December 14, 2010 Share #2 Posted December 14, 2010 Yes, pretty ugly! Of course anyone can replicate with some money down for a pelican case and about 5 minutes, but it seems like this may actually be a 'package' deal compared to buying separately. spylaw4 Posted December 14, 2010 Share #5 Posted December 14, 2010 Yes, pretty ugly! Of course anyone can replicate with some money down for a pelican case and about 5 minutes, but it seems like this may actually be a 'package' deal compared to buying separately. I make it £1825 plus the case cost when priced up separately, but I"m taking a guess at the SD card size @ 4Gb. So not much of a bargain!

ChiILX1 Posted December 15, 2010 Share #11 Posted December 15, 2010 Why wouldn't they make it a red case? Looks like a Pelican and they have every color of the rainbow, plus black and white.

jhluxton Posted December 31, 2010 Share #14 Posted December 31, 2010 Reminds me of one of those wood / amulimium Hakuba cases with the foam padding which were all the rage with photographers in the late 70s / early 80s. I bought one as my first proper camera bag for use with a Contax 139 and accessories. Very impractical apart from the fact that the Hakuba was very rugged and even a heavyweight like me could use it as a step to gain extra height. My first "Billy" bag came soon after as the trouble with this Hakuba style case is you have to lay it out flat rather than access it round your neck - hardly ideal for use in the field. When my X1 arrives in next few days it will live in one of of my several Billingham bags so I am not sorry I have missed this deal! John
