Clive Murray-White Posted December 12, 2010 Share #1 Posted December 12, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I've got myself quite confused about lenses with goggles on an M8, and the more I search the topic the more confused I get. As I understand it with a Summaron 35 f3.5 (goggles 1956) it is best to leave the goggles on when using it on an M8 it brings up 50mm VF lines but the goggles compensate for 35mm. Anything I should know? Any Problems? Any observations?
Advertisement Posted December 12, 2010 Posted December 12, 2010 Hi Clive Murray-White, Take a look here Summaron 35 with goggles M8?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
earleygallery Posted December 12, 2010 Share #2 Posted December 12, 2010 You MUST use the goggles if you intend to use the viewfinder/rangefinder also.
jaapv Posted December 13, 2010 Share #3 Posted December 13, 2010 James is right: the focussing camis adapted to the use of goggles. The lens without the goggles will only focus correctly at infinity ( in fact it will be locked at infinity with the goggles removed)
