albert Posted December 10, 2010 Share #1 Â Posted December 10, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Ranger, The Newfoundland Dog emerging from the fog. Mississippi River, freezing and cracking in Minnesota. The horizon couldn't be corrected without cutting off the dog's head. The crack is the only thing that is somewhat normal. albert Posted December 11, 2010 Author Share #4 Â Posted December 11, 2010 Thank you Michael says Ranger. Â John, Â The dog was very dark as I had used a macro setting on the ice-crack so I added some fog from a software program. Thanks for the notice and kind words. leicamann Posted December 11, 2010 Share #5 Â Posted December 11, 2010 Oh I see..well the original is probably better, you can use "exposure" settings in Photoshop to get some elements better exposed. I should add the Adobe CS5 has a seamless way of doing this now...... Â Cheers, JRM
Bob Jackson Posted December 12, 2010 Share #6 Â Posted December 12, 2010 I think Ranger should be reclassified as a Great Mississippi River Newfoundland Water Hound. He seems to be the only thing normal along the Mississippi River this winter. The weather has been pretty odd for such an early winter. Also, it's a great shot; as always. pauledell Posted December 13, 2010 Share #8 Â Posted December 13, 2010 Al, Â Judging from the smile on Ranger's face, he must be having a fine time. I just hope you aren't standing in the river. Â Paul
