yes, it comes a fine extra with the PM

the only thing I am wondering is why it is a standalone version.

makes it for me almost useless, since I now have to more or less use 3 programs, LR, PS and the efx...

Anyhow it was a pleasure for me to support this forum since it changed my way of seeing and framing.

Cheers and thanks again.

I had previously downloaded the trial version of Colour Efex Pro Stnd and installed it as a plug-in for CS4 and had presumed the version offered with PM would be the same...?

Just as stated, it is a stand-alone program.

Thx, Andy. Andreas sent the e-mail. It might be easier for Andreas if a note was added to the premium membership link stating that after you pay, a link for downloading the NIK software will be e-mailed to you.

With or without the software, Premium Membership is something we all should subscribe to. For the small expense, we help insure the quality & future of the Forum. Given the sums paid for our gear, it's such a value to have all the wisdom & fraternity available 24/7. Let's do the right thing.:D

Fully agree. Color Efex Pro Standard Edition is strange - it doesn't integrate with Aperture the way Silver Efex Pro does, so you can't use it while within Aperture. It seems to be a stand alone piece of software, which takes all the fun out of it for me. NIK should change this restriction - it makes the software unusable from a practical perspective.

I fell asleep, I guess.

Is "premium" member the same as "sponsoring" member ?

Please point me to thread that I missed, thanks.

Philipp . . . I know you use Linux (as I do) . . . Color Rfx runs okay?

The wide red tab near the top of the page which says "premium membership" points to all information about - how shall I say - premium membership. It does not appear to say anything about sponsoring memberships. Perhaps you should mail to admin to change "mere" sponsoring into "premium".

Color efex installs fine in Linux using Wine (or rather, CrossOver Office). It does, however, not run; it claims some "Windows imaging component" or some such was missing. I haven't bothered to find that component. I have Windows in a VMWare Box.
