Overgaard Posted December 5, 2010 Share #2 Posted December 5, 2010 Yes, they are pretty old now. I learned recently that the camera is a promotional camera in wood, and some collectors have them in box or without box (not kidding). What the circumstances for the photo was, I don't know. Promotion for TWA, Leica, Jacob Sisters..? Another one from 1966
jc_braconi Posted December 5, 2010 Share #3 Posted December 5, 2010 This wooden models were used during large photoshows, like the Photokina, on top of the Leitz stand to be seen from far by visitors and to guide them like a lamp house. This one is for the M3 issue but they already existed for screwmount cameras.
Guest Ron (Netherlands) Posted December 5, 2010 Share #4 Posted December 5, 2010 Only three left.........and like the M3, not so young and....anymore.... they seemed to be called: "blondes deutsches Fräuleinwunder Made in Germany" apparently they had a little CLA (or was it a complete overhaul) .....
