tomb of Emperor Minh Mang (19th century)

Huê (Central Vietnam) , built in 1840-1843 , the finest imperial tomb surrounded by peaceful pavillons, temples, forest ,hills and lake

a very nice place

 

the entrance is magnifcent

If you enjoy meeting friendly and helpful people, it is by the Central Vietnam you must start

your visit .

You'll find that the capital of Central Vietnam worth a visit.

If you like history and architecture of temples, it is imperative that you go through Hue.

A wonderful country

I encourage you to spend 15 days there, with 5-6 days in Central Vietnam.

For you , more color ... at the entrance of the temple, there is a small manufacturer of incense sticks.

....enjoy the colors. M9 or M8 and Leica lens are fabulous

Thank you for this fond reminder. All the shots are lovely and I'm sorry I never thought of shooting the incense sticks as you did.

The photo i show you now , dated from 1996 : i took with my Leica R4S with his 50mm Summicron.Film is Fuji Provia 100.

It shows another part of this temple (which is great) and which is currently closed to the public for restoration this year .

Behind you have a big lake, where the king and queen rested.

I'll try to find pictures of this lake.
