stuny Posted November 11, 2010 Share #4 Posted November 11, 2010 Kurt - Lovely light, color and composition. I wonder how well it would work with more DOF?
pauledell Posted November 12, 2010 Share #5 Posted November 12, 2010 Kurt - Lovely light, color and composition. I wonder how well it would work with more DOF? Kurt, I agree with Stuart. I think more clarity in the background would improve it. Paul

daveleo Posted November 12, 2010 Share #7 Posted November 12, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) excellent compositions and love the softer colors. i like the OOF background . . . to me it's a portrait of the rock (family ) . . . the water and sky are only supportive. kidigital Posted November 12, 2010 Author Share #8 Posted November 12, 2010 Thanks for the comments, everyone. Dave, thanks for liking the oof background. I sometimes feel like a fish swimming upstream, but I tend to prefer images that include subject isolation and soft, painterly backgrounds. vdb Posted November 13, 2010 Share #10 Posted November 13, 2010 Love this Kurt. I prefer the shallow dof....takes the eye into the bokeh of infinity. Btw, one of my fav lenses on the m9.... But so damn heavy..
