The exposure time indication in viewfinder (see image below), moves with delay with respect to the turning movement of the upper knob. This happens exactly when changing from 1/15 to 1/8. On the mechanical cameras, the shutter speeds displayed are linked to the shutter speed dial with a cord and I think the speed are on a ribbon. As the dial is moved the cord pulls the ribbon with the speeds on it past the window in the viewfinder. On the other end of the ribbon is a spring of sorts that takes up the tension. Something in the mechanism probably needs to be cleaned. When has the camera last had a Clean Lube Adjust (CLA)? Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Hi Fernando, this morning, I tested my R8 and had no problem ("how can one loose the 1/12s?"). Sorry, forgot to check my R6x - it was before the first cup of coffee I'm interested in this as well and I'll tell you. However, you're "lucky" this happens with 1/15 and 1/8. I've taken some shots of the same view with different aperture/speed couples and the negatives have all the same visual density. Finally I could check it for myself. The R6.2 is fine, the far older R6, too. But there the indicated exposure times do not appear in the center of the rectangular field, but a little to the left.
