Rona!d Posted January 18, 2007 Share #21  Posted January 18, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I don´t think my optitian would be happy to produce more than one, but i will ask him, after he finished mine succesfully.  Let me second that. If a new integral screen for the Viso III can be made, how much will it cost? Can we boys be in on it? The old man from the Age of the Visoflex
Advertisement Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 Hi Rona!d, Take a look here Visoflex with M8?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
geoffreyg Posted January 18, 2007 Share #22 Â Posted January 18, 2007 I saw a Visoflex IIa, with a Kelfit (?) 90 mm on it at a local dealer. The lens was pretty stiff, but the price...well $300? Â Will that fit on the M8? Tempting. Â Geoff

But don't forget, if you change the screen on the Visoflex you have to recalibrate, preferably on an optical bench, by reshimming.

hrnswwp Posted November 1, 2007 Share #26 Â Posted November 1, 2007 I have a viso II. It doesn't fit on the M8. So it means I either go for the viso III (with either type of finder), or I could retain the II, but get the viso III finder (straight-up?). Jaap, please advise. doubice Posted November 1, 2007 Share #28  Posted November 1, 2007 I have a viso II. It doesn't fit on the M8. So it means I either go for the viso III (with either type of finder), or I could retain the II, but get the viso III finder (straight-up?). Jaap, please advise. Thomas Wong  It is not only the 90 degree finder that will hinder the Viso II's use on the M8. The tripping arm of the Visoflex II is shaped differently from the one of the III and will not clear the top plate of the camera or trip the shutter. No problem on a tripod (with either the 'chimney' or 90 degree finder from the Viso III), you will have to swing the arm out and away from the body, pre-release the mirror and use a cable release to trip the M8 shutter.  All M5, M6TTL, M7 and M8 cameras have taller bodies than previous M's and that is why only the Visoflex III with its arm can trip the shutter release on these.  I prefer the smaller size of the Visoflex II and tried it on the M7, as well as on the M8. Unfortunately, I had to sell the II and get the III...... Fortunately, I did it before the Visoflex III prices went through the roof.  Best,  Jan
