Advertisement Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 Hi earleygallery, Take a look here 4 Reasons Why You Should Get the Leica D-LUX 5 vs Panasonic LX-5. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
MikeMyers Posted January 31, 2011 Share #42 Posted January 31, 2011 It's been a month since I was involved in some of these discussions. Since then, I've just been using the LX5 quite a bit, and I am very, very impressed. I assume that the Panasonic and Leica versions are either the same, or close enough to being the same that it doesn't matter. I love the ability of the camera to produce quite nice photos in next to no light... and I'm amazed at how good they look when seen at 100% size. I didn't expect to do much in way of video, but the 720P video is excellent. As a travel camera, it's wonderful. You get so much performance from such a small size and weight. For me, it wasn't a matter of which one to get (the price issue settled that), but of whether to get one of these or try for a new Canon. I'm glad I made the choice I did. (Will upload some photos in a few days, if I get a chance.)
