biglouis Posted November 23, 2010 Share #25 Posted November 23, 2010 Louis, that reminds me of the old line to an audience "I've suffered for my music, now it's your turn" I prefer Groucho's comment, "I always go to the toilet before I go on stage because when I come off everyone wants to go to the toilet"... viramati Posted November 27, 2010 Share #33 Posted November 27, 2010 In case of wind snow and general cold we could meet in the 'bridge house' pub just down on the east side for a quick whisky sharpener Bridge House, Tower Bridge, London, SE1 2UP - pub details # beerintheevening.com
earleygallery Posted November 27, 2010 Share #34 Posted November 27, 2010 Apologies all but I cannot make this evening due to family issues. Have a good meet.
farnz Posted November 27, 2010 Share #35 Posted November 27, 2010 In case of wind snow and general cold we could meet in the 'bridge house' pub just down on the east side for a quick whisky sharpener Bridge House, Tower Bridge, London, SE1 2UP - pub details # beerintheevening.com David, Interestingly, opening the "map" link in the weblink you posted pulls up a map that shows the pub as midway across Tower Bridge. I wonder what happens when they raise the bascules? ("'Ere, did you spill me pint?!" "Nah, Mate, Tower Bridge spilt it.") If anyone's looking for it, it's on the south side of Tower Bridge Road (the one that runs across the bridge) about 100 metres down on the east side of the road. Pete. gravastar Posted November 27, 2010 Share #36 Posted November 27, 2010 Whenever Google Maps throws a wobbly like this enter "building number, road, post code" to get a more accurate location . The maps linked to on the pub page also have the same problem. Bob.
