Advertisement Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Hi sharookh, Take a look here Nathan Road impressions. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
epand56 Posted October 24, 2010 Share #22 Posted October 24, 2010 Bo this series is just outstanding. Great atmospheres and moments. Nevertheless, there is a feeling about this new Lux 35 that puzzles me... It seems that the out of focus area, let's say the bokeh, is not as good and pleasant as they are on the old one. What is your opinion about this lens?
Bo_Lorentzen Posted October 25, 2010 Author Share #23 Posted October 25, 2010 Thank you Paul for the kind words and all of your encouragement. Andrew, thank you sir, yet I know there are far more appropriate guys on the street in HK. Sharookh, Thank you, this particular series was shot using auto-white auto-iso - JPG's kind of embarrassing actually as I would love to claim a fantastic setting with some amazing raw processing tricks. Enrico, thank you, and about the lens, the front OOF is very smooth, the far OOF behind the focus point feels smooth, but when there are bright points it can get busy. at first I was staring at this, but then I realized that it really almost never bother me. so for me, (and Im not a expert by any means) the real issue is that this lens shoot more keepers than any other 35mm lens I have tried. I feel less frustration with this lens, clearly this is not measurable, and subject to personal taste and experience.... but really it seems easier, and when all things come together, the lens sings. . allamande Posted October 26, 2010 Share #24 Posted October 26, 2010 Bo, Let me guess: you are not in Beverly Hills. Love the controlled energy and the vibrancy in each setting. I wish you'd do more of these. Ece
