I think you are referring to Phở (pronounced Fu). I'm addicted to the stuff and eat it for breakfast all the time along with iced Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk. I ate it almost everyday in Cambodia and especially like tripe and the other organ meats.

Here in San Francisco we have a Little Saigon area where it is pretty fresh and authentic.

Beautiful, charming shot, lovely woman. We too love pho, though the best we had in Vietnam was at the Victoria Phan Thiet. We're also fortunate enough to have a superb, inexpensive Vietmanese restaurant in the Chelsea section of Manhattan. You are right : this soup called "pho" but

this soup that we ate that day had no beef or chicken.

As you saw in the link, it comes from Phnom Penh (Cambodia)

and is called "pho" "Nam Vang" which means "Phnom Penh"

Henry, if it has shrimp, thinly sliced pork, ground pork and the noodle is somewhat clear and chewy, then it is called "Hu Tieu Nam Vang." I bet it was good!!! Tri:)

PS: On the camera I used, I went to Vietnam with M9 and M8.

I left home my R8 too heavy for my old shoulders, I think the M8 gives good pictures and easy to use as here with this photo,a little in contre-jour where you can see the face of the daughter .With the M9 is underexposed.
