stuny Posted January 14, 2007 Share #3 Posted January 14, 2007 Richard - Perhaps a required shot (from Victoria's Peak?), but exceptionally well executed for its framing, light, sharpness and details.
arthury Posted January 14, 2007 Share #4 Posted January 14, 2007 Lovely composition and the large expanse works for me. Looks like you are getting those magenta flares near certain light sources, which I'm getting as well. I assume you are using tungsten for WB? semrich Posted January 14, 2007 Author Share #5 Posted January 14, 2007 Azzo, Stuart, - Thanks. The detail in this at 100% on a 20" Mac is really something, you can make out shapes in the windows of the buildings in the forground that you just know are people, I may go and get this printed just to see what it looks like. Arthur, - I used auto wb and adjusted it in Lightroom. I don't see the magenta flairs you mention. There is such a riot of color from all the lights that that may be what you are seeing. For example the red on the water (middle right) is from the red sign above the yellow lighted building.
peter55 Posted January 14, 2007 Share #6 Posted January 14, 2007 Well the world is really growing up into these modern times. But I was a bit suprised at the view you presented of this obviously tremendous city. I had no idea. Thanks for posting.
