fotografr Posted September 28, 2010 Share #3 Posted September 28, 2010 Excellent set of images from what looks like a very memorable trek, Chris. The pie (apple?) looks delicious, as does much of the scenery.

rob_x2004 Posted September 29, 2010 Share #8 Posted September 29, 2010 Can w see a thumbnail of the full frame and how much can you recover from the sky? Would you use a polarizing filter next time?
chris_tribble Posted September 29, 2010 Author Share #9 Posted September 29, 2010 Can w see a thumbnail of the full frame and how much can you recover from the sky? Would you use a polarizing filter next time? Full frame below. There's very little sky to recover - high overcast with drizzle that came a bit later. This image processed in Lightroom 3 using two graduated filters. For the original post I had to lift the exposure a bit. The new process is maybe more dramatic - but it's also distorting what I saw quite a bit. As it was, the crop was to strengthen the composition - not because the sky was a problem. Polarising filter? Maybe - but I was out for a walk and this was (as I think you might notice) a case of grabbing the decisive moment when the lady in question presented the opportunity ) Pre- Post-shots with settings showing follow. Hope this helps. Thanks to others for the comments.
