hi there, everybody!

a few months ago, when i was at my local photo-retailer, i got a polaroid landcamera 350 rangefinder for free..

i also got a leica instruction manual for a leica IIF/IIIF with it..

i only use a leicaflex sl, so i do not really need this instruction manual..

it is written in german language, but it also has some remarks in dutch written in it by the previous owner..

it also contains the camera number and the lens-numbers.. (written by the owner himself)

since i do not need this manual, i would like to give it away, for people who own and use a leica IIF or a leica IIIF..

in this manual, there is written the camera number and the number of the lenses..

as follows:

camera number: 828568

elmar 5 cm 1:2.8 : 1438796

elmar 9 cm 1:4 : 759391

the only costs are those for sending it by post..

if you like to use this manual, feel free to mail me, and i will send it to you..

since i am not so fond of speculations with leica gear and everything what goes around with it, i really hope, that people, who are really interested in it, will take this manual for own personal use..

if you want it for personal use, i am your man, immediately..

just give me your adress, and ik will send it to you, after you send me the costs for dispatch through mail..

just let me know if you are interested by mail..

my e-mail adress is apostma@zeelandnet.nl or sjinouck@hotmail.com, and everything will be allright..

i really hope, that i can help somebody with this manual..

first come, first have..just put it to good use...for yourself..

i made a few crummy pics of it, to show you the manual..

Hello sjinouck,

It is very nice you are doing this.

You might like to know that the serial #s written on your July 1954 instruction manual for the IIf & IIIf are for a 1956 IIIG, a 1956 5cm Elmar and a 1950 9cm Elmar.

It would appear the theory was it was better to have an an instruction book for a similar camera than none @ all.

Best Regards,

Michael

THX for your reply! i also checked the serial numbers and i already thought, that something was a little odd to me, since the serialnumbers and de instruction manual did not match..

this instruction manual also came with a bronze medal or plaque, with inscription that showed me, that this medal was won in a photography contest from a dutch magazine in 1936 (´focus´).. there was also a name written in it, and i have tried to find the original owner, but sadly, still without any succes..:(

the magazine still exists, and i had a lot of help from the editors from this magazine, who send me a copy of the original magazine in jan. 1936..

it is like trying to find a needle in a haystack of needles, but i will not give up..:)

i believe the medal and this instruction-manual do not belong together, since there are quite a few years between them..

grtz, Alexander!
