ptomsu Posted July 11, 2006 Share #2 Posted July 11, 2006 this is so much better than normal photos of church interiors
nealf Posted July 11, 2006 Share #3 Posted July 11, 2006 i would have exposed for the person, not the church. Just my 2 cents !
fotografr Posted July 11, 2006 Share #4 Posted July 11, 2006 Yes, I also would have exposed for the highlights here. The image is a good idea, but the woman is far too blown out for me. A dark church interior with softer light falling on the woman would have made a much stronger statement. Tough situation, to say the least.
jmr Posted July 11, 2006 Author Share #5 Posted July 11, 2006 Guys, thanks for the input; I agree, it would have been better if the woman wasn't so blown-out. I did wonder about posting the shot because of its faults, but it does capture the mood as I saw it and, on balance, I guess I'm pleased I did. jackart Posted July 11, 2006 Share #8 Posted July 11, 2006 I second Nealf. Tricky exposure, but doable. D2 has spot exposure that works. Super composition and environment. -jaak
