robsteve Posted January 10, 2007 Share #1 Posted January 10, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I am still scanning some of my older slides. This is a shot I made about eight years ago using the R8 and 105-280 in the 105 range. This is a wild fox with a burrow in a sand dune on a beach. I used a blind and had a flash mounted on the outside of the blind to get some catch lights in the eyes. Probably shot on E100S.

stuny Posted January 10, 2007 Share #2 Posted January 10, 2007 rob - What a little beauty, very well caught. Nice detail, and colors, and you got the light in his eyes.

robert_parker Posted January 11, 2007 Share #4 Posted January 11, 2007 An attractive portrait -the flash has added to the effect in a way not usually seen in a wildlife shot
robsteve Posted January 14, 2007 Author Share #5 Posted January 14, 2007 Robert: I went to a seminar on bird photography where the photographer showed us how he would set up a blind in the woods near a tree using staging and then tarp it in. Once the birds got used to it, he would then start shooting. In his setup he used multiple flash and this is where I got the idea for the flash. My blind was just one of the fold up tent type set up in front of the fox den.
