Are we sure it's the same photographer? The photographer in the Beatles video has dark hair. The photos on Didi's biography page show a man with blond hair.

Indeed... the 1969 pictures show a man that no way resembles the distinct gentlemen of the video... and he has a NIKON F !!!

But... who knows ? In 1966 certain trends of personal style weren't yet à la page... :p

He hasn't responded yet to my email. I'm quite sure he is not our man, but perhaps Didi was at the show and knows who was the photog

btw didi is supposed to be the 4th man in the photo of this diskcover: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1yiyZnpAiB4

For what it's worth, there is another photographer at the same show who appears very briefly at almost the same location near the stage, at 1:31 in this clip:

YouTube - The Beatles - Baby's in Black (1966)

This other photographer also appears to be shooting with Leica cameras. Unlike the photographer in the original post, this one appears to have lighter hair, light pants and no mustache.

Good find!, Indeed another Leica-photog:

Regardless who the photographer is (or was).

It was refreshing to see a photographer handle a Leica exactly like any photographer would handle a camera, rapidly, deliberately, professionally.! I see way too many M shooters "fiddeling" with their cameras trying to figure something out... This guy was working with a tool he was very comfortable with.. banging out images. Nice.

Hello Everybody,

Possible prototype M4.

Please note: Rewind crank canted as per M4.

Vulcanite as per M2.

Please look @ the vulcanite @ 1 o'clock looking down the lens axis from the front.

W/ M2 there is a gap, as w/ this camera.

M4 has all vulcanite to the lens mount.

Best regards,

Michael
