Advertisement Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 Hi Rolo, Take a look here Beside the sea III. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stuny Posted January 8, 2007 Share #2 Posted January 8, 2007 Rolo - I'm amazed at how you produce such dramatic images and colors, and this qualifies, too. Where is it? I was about to email you to see if you wanted me to remove the post -- Then you added this wonderful image.

Rolo Posted January 8, 2007 Author Share #4 Posted January 8, 2007 Rolo - I'm amazed at how you produce such dramatic images and colors, and this qualifies, too. Where is it? I was about to email you to see if you wanted me to remove the post -- Then you added this wonderful image. Thank you Stuart, I don't know why it duplicated, or why it let me change the title to 'error', but wouldn't ley me change it 'Besides the Seaside III'. You could change that if you would as I intend to post a few more shots on the topic if they response is positive. The location is the coast of Yorkshire, near the town of Whitby, but off the beaten track a little. I like rich images and I try to find the best presentation of the final image. I suppose by tackling it in a similar way each time I produce a 'style' that's not better or worse than others, just my way. If the exposure is good, there's often hidden detail and several different interpretations that can be developed. It doesn't take long to test an approach and reject it with PhotoShop. When I find what I want, I check if pushing it further makes it better or worse and I continually check to see if a change affects the overall impact. It's not advanced, or difficult and usually an image takes about 20 minutes.
Guest lykoudos Posted January 8, 2007 Share #5 Posted January 8, 2007 Hello Rolo, Beautiful admission, since to Fantasien energizes me. The rock's group seems to me like a lying queue with their raised head of a Kobra from the rear. Greeting Wolfgang
graeme_clarke Posted January 8, 2007 Share #6 Posted January 8, 2007 This is a shot of Black Nab, Saltwick Bay, 2 miles east of Whitby on the North Yorkshire coast of England. The Ordnance Survey map reference is sheet NZ 4922 5108. There's another rock pillar close by called Saltwick Nab, also often photographed. Lovely! azzo Posted January 8, 2007 Share #7 Posted January 8, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Rolo, i can understand that it doesn't take you long on PS to produce such Quality images, but your real hard work is done during the actual exposures. Very well captured and magnificently rendered. Best Azzo
