Yes, had the problem. No solution (I could not find one anyway). Since I really don't zoom through pictures, I did not really bother too much as it worked fine for most of the work I needed to on the screen, navigating menus.

When I sent it to NJ for the shutter problem, it came back fixed.

Sorry no helping answer except that I had the problem.

Does the wheel work OK for any other functions? If not, then it could possibly be a bit of dust or other debris has worked its way inside. You might like to try holding the camera upside down, and using a blower to blast some air around the wheel area, while turning the wheel back and forth. You might be lucky and be able to dislodge the offending particle. :) Otherwise, it probably means a trip to Leica for the camera. :(

Thankyou, Tanka and Nicole. The problem seems to be as Tanka describes. I miss I can not zoom the screen to see the dust on the sensor. But I'll need the camera for a trip in octuber and I'll send to repair after it. Thankyou. SFM.

I had the same problem. Not just it didn't zoom but couldn't scroll menu neither. I 'tolerated' it somehow for over a month (as it didn't affect shooting and the arrows work for menu up-downs). Tried similar way Nicole suggests but failed. Finally I sent it to Schmidt Marketing in Hong Kong on a Friday and got a call to take it back on the Monday next:). Must say they are really efficient.
