super7668 Posted August 23, 2010 Share #1 Â Posted August 23, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm considering the Domke F-831, since I want it as small as possible, don't like bulky case at all. I want thinking about A&A, but seems those are quite big even the GCAM-7200. I only carry one camera and two lenses, plus ipad of course. Â Any idea? Thanks. Advertisement Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 Hi super7668, Take a look here Best bag to carry M8 and ipad?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
super7668 Posted August 23, 2010 Author Share #2 Â Posted August 23, 2010 Anyone? I need to order on ebay for a trip in 10 days. Â Thanks.
jlindstrom Posted August 23, 2010 Share #3  Posted August 23, 2010 I've been searching answers for this since late spring.. I guess this isn't a very common combo, maybe due to iPad not being widely available or something.  Anyway, this doesn't help you much but I've been thinking of one of the bare bones bags. Measurements would suggest iPad should fit in as well. They are quite small and not too flashy, in fact they don't look like a camera bag at all - more like a "man purse" since they're of the messengerbag style.  Let us know which way you go and how you've liked it after the trip. I for one will be very interested in the end result!  //Juha  Sent from my iPad!!
F1Addict Posted August 23, 2010 Share #4 Â Posted August 23, 2010 I also have an iPad and have been looking at the Domke 803. I want the smallest bag possible to carry my iPad and Leica.
h_A_Z Posted August 23, 2010 Share #5 Â Posted August 23, 2010 I have the Domke 803. I went on a trip with that bag packed with M6ttl with one lens, about 10 rolls of film, Dlux4 and an iPad with camera kit. Perfect bag IMHO.
stunsworth Posted August 23, 2010 Share #6 Â Posted August 23, 2010 Billingham Hadley Pro should do the job - though it may be a little larger than you were thinking of.
Overgaard Posted August 23, 2010 Share #7 Â Posted August 23, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Billingham Hadley Pro is good for it, versatile as it will also fit a 13" and even a 15" MacBook Pro. You can squeeze an iPad and 15" MacBook Pro in together, bit it's tight. Â It's a great bag, versatile for headphones, cameras, cables, small harddrives, glasses, etc - and most important of all it looks small and is not heavy. The Hadley Pro is smaller.
stunsworth Posted August 23, 2010 Share #9 Â Posted August 23, 2010 My 13" MacBook can certainly fit in my Hadley Pro - though it's a tight fit and there's no way a larger laptop could fit in. An iPad presents no problem at all.
BrendanLynch Posted August 23, 2010 Share #10 Â Posted August 23, 2010 I have the A&A 7100 for M8, iPad and a couple extra lenses. Works great, and couldn't be any smaller (iPad just fits with the Apple case used)
rob139 Posted August 23, 2010 Share #11 Â Posted August 23, 2010 I hope that the Retrospective 10 will do the job. I have one on order, should fit the Ipad snugly, together with body and two, three lenses.
bill Posted August 23, 2010 Share #12 Â Posted August 23, 2010 Forgive me for pointing out the bleedin' obvious, but an ipad is the size of a "book", isn't it? Perhaps if you look for bags that will take a book of the same size, instead of searching for something specifically for an ipad ("of course" ) - you may have more luck - they have been around for longer, after all. Â FWIW, I'm with those who are recommending a Hadley Pro. Â Regards, Â Bill
stunsworth Posted August 23, 2010 Share #13 Â Posted August 23, 2010 Bill, the iPad is about the size of an A4 pad. Slightly larger than most books, but not by much.

It's a book sized thing. Â Regards, Â Bill
Overgaard Posted August 23, 2010 Share #15 Â Posted August 23, 2010 I think you're confusing it with the Hadley Large, which is indeed large enough for a 15" MacBookPro. The Hadley Pro is smaller. Â No, it is in fact a Hadley Pro and the 15" will fit tight but can be there. The whole point is that you don't think so when you see it (because it appears so small, especially in black). Â This is a reason I suggest that one always go to a store where they have the bags to try out. Â Here is a picture of the bag with the 15" from my M9 article on stuff for the M9: Â The official size of the Hadley Pro is W350 x D120 x H250mm and the interior W320 x D70 x H225mm which suggest 1,5 cm of stuffing on each side. But as the laptop lies behind the stuffing, only surrounded by the flexible textile in the sides, you can actually fit the 36 cm. wide MacBook Pro in it. Overgaard Posted August 23, 2010 Share #16  Posted August 23, 2010 Bill, the iPad is about the size of an A4 pad. Slightly larger than most books, but not by much.  It's smaller, it's 20x25 cm inside the black Apple flip-cover ( http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC361ZM/B?fnode=MTc0MjU2Mjc&mco=MTcyMTgxNTk which I can recommend for protection and also works well as a stand on a table - so you can check e-mail and browser while having lunch ;-), and the same size of the Moleskin soft cover notebook, extra large Plain Soft Notebook - Extra Large - Moleskine ® English  Which means it will fit even in the "secret" backpocket with zipper on the backside of the Hadley Pro bag from Billingham. As your picture shows, 1,6cm matters.
Overgaard Posted August 23, 2010 Share #18 Â Posted August 23, 2010 Hmm, mine is 35,8, the MacBook Pro on the picture. Â The Powerbook was the previous family (without magnetic power supply) and may have been smaller. Â It may be that my bag was made slightly bigger or I used more force. But it surprisingly fitted when I tried in the Red Dot Cameras, so I bought it (even it's supposed to be for 13" only)
Nicoleica Posted August 23, 2010 Share #19 Â Posted August 23, 2010 If you just want an old bag to carry your iPad and camera gear, take ME! I love travelling, and can carry a fair number of lenses and accessories too!
super7668 Posted August 23, 2010 Author Share #20 Â Posted August 23, 2010 Thanks guys, especially Nicole, I love to take you, but I'm afraid my wife won't allow. Â I'll go for the 7100, it's probably the smallest to fit my needs.
