voe Posted August 21, 2010 Share #1 Â Posted August 21, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have the same redness of the skin with both Lightroom 3 and Capure One 5. Â I have my Leica M8 for almost a month now and never experienced this issue. Anyone experiences similar issue with Leica M8? Â Bellow are crops of images which were originaly shot in DNG. Â Â Â Â Â The above images are actually screenshots of what I see in Lightroom and in Capture One. I did screenshots because If I export from RAW to jpg the red skin color is still there, but when I upload it to flickr the color is changed (I guess by flickr) to this: Â Â Â Â Â I have the same issue regardless whether I use UV-IR cut filter or not. Â Can someone explain why this is happening?

richam Posted August 21, 2010 Share #2 Â Posted August 21, 2010 Try the Color Management Menu item. Mine is set on sRGB, and I've never experienced such a problem.
voe Posted August 21, 2010 Author Share #3 Â Posted August 21, 2010 Color Management is only available if you shoot in JPG. With my Leica M8 I shoot DNG only.
hoppyman Posted August 21, 2010 Share #4 Â Posted August 21, 2010 This is not a camera issue. There are a lot of variables we don't know about from your post but it is to do with your monitor calibration/Raw converter settings/ output file colour spaces web browser/ screen capture options. That's a lot of variables It certainly can be frustrating, but I suggest that you take a look at one thing at a time and I feel sure that you will get everything behaving as you expect. You could take a look at the free info on the website of Jeremy Daalder in Melbourne if you would like a place to start. http://www.imagescience.com.au/ Good luck! voe Posted August 21, 2010 Author Share #5 Â Posted August 21, 2010 Got it. After I restarted my Windows all went back to normal. No more redness or purple color in skin tone. Actually all the colors are now back to normal. Not sure what it was but rebooting of Windows fixed it.

JazzyMac Posted September 9, 2010 Share #8 Â Posted September 9, 2010 I have purple overcast with JPEG on my Leica M8.2. I thought this issue was fixed. Any thoughts? Due I need a filter? I am using Voigtlander 50 f1.1. Â Usually only dusk or night shots (restaurants, etc.). Blacks or dark browns or skin tones have the purple/reddish tones. I rarely shoot raw--sorry, I know that's taboo in the world of shooting, just no time to render.
