franklinh Posted January 5, 2007 Share #1 Posted January 5, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) These exposures were made using a "street photography". I mounted my camera ona Leica table tap tripod. When the customers were accustomed to it's presence, I began to opportunistically make exposures. Advertisement Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 Hi franklinh, Take a look here The Cafe in Winter . I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
cardinal Posted January 5, 2007 Share #2 Posted January 5, 2007 I like those those shots but I bet somebody heard the shutter button from a distance. That is a pretty good idea, another way is to mount a cable release to your shutter button and have a motor drive connected to it and people will not see you advance the film. However, I think it could be better if you could ask to take their picture and have them pose the way you want. Easier said than done, you know. stuny Posted January 6, 2007 Share #4 Posted January 6, 2007 Franklin - Glad to see you posting again -- Welcome back. Very interesting idea, well executed. All have interesting light and subjects, but #1 & #2 work best for me because of the angle, which is emphasized by the newspaper. Remarkably, the newspaper is NOT distracting, but a real part of the composition.

franklinh Posted January 6, 2007 Author Share #7 Posted January 6, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) It was great to be posting, since I had prostate surgery (radical) Tuesday ( and preoccupied with that for two months (after the cancer diagnosis ). So these photographs actually reflect a whole 1 mile walk (2 miles round trip). It was so good to be mobile and out among people. Franklin
