Advertisement Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 Hi pauledell, Take a look here Aw Dad, do I have to go in?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
allamande Posted July 31, 2010 Share #2 Posted July 31, 2010 Leave him alone! What a beautiful doggy. And, he is very expressive. Paul, I think you can punch up the colors a bit further and do better justice to his lovely fur. Ece
pauledell Posted July 31, 2010 Author Share #3 Posted July 31, 2010 Ece, Here is the touched up version. It is a little warmer red. This picture was taken in early evening under cloudy sky so the origional version is probably more accurate but in the sunlight, this is close. stuny Posted July 31, 2010 Share #4 Posted July 31, 2010 Paul - That's better, and I like the detail, too.
clinchico Posted July 31, 2010 Share #5 Posted July 31, 2010 Paul A wonderful image and a beautiful Setter. Herb
pop Posted July 31, 2010 Share #6 Posted July 31, 2010 Paul - he's and handsome feller and - by the looks of him - very friendly, too. The position of his right forepaw fits nicely into the picture. I am a bit uncomfortable with the distribution of sharpness across the imace. It looks to me as if the focus lies mostly in the grass and as if you had sharpened the picture by a fair amount. Sharpness or lack thereof has become an issue for me again, having had to spend an unholy amount on new glasses.
pauledell Posted August 1, 2010 Author Share #7 Posted August 1, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Stuart, Herb and Philipp, Thanks for your comments. Philipp, Thanks for your critique. Max is a wonderful and quite friendly dog. Yes I did some PP sharpening. Perhaps a bit too much but when I resize the file, it seems to always diminish the sharpness as I upload it so I sometimes sharpen them more. vdb Posted August 3, 2010 Share #8 Posted August 3, 2010 Wonderful face, expressive eyes. Don't you have 4 dogs? Let's see them...and how thru interact with each other:)
pauledell Posted August 3, 2010 Author Share #9 Posted August 3, 2010 Virgil, Thank you. I will have to make a project of going out all day to photograph the other dogs also. It is somewhat difficult to catch them together. They all go in different directions unless they are chasing each other, then it's impossible to try to catch them in the camera. I will try to get more shots of the others. Paul
tmldds Posted August 5, 2010 Share #10 Posted August 5, 2010 So cute, Paul. I adopted one of those when I was in school. Bourbon was a runner and had farts that could clear a room in a hurry! Tri:)
pauledell Posted August 6, 2010 Author Share #11 Posted August 6, 2010 Tri, We adopted Max when he was a year old. He's four now and he also is a runner. He is very free spirited and loves to chase birds, rabbits and his doggie friends. Paul
