FLASH -- i am going to increase the pic limit to 4.

There are two reasons for this:

1. We have fewer contributors, and

2 I have a 4th image I like.

How does this sound?

Regards to all,

Not good, I can only send it in November ;):p

Feel free to weigh in -- anyone, anyone?

We have a proposal for:

1. Leica body

-- of course

2. Leica 50mm lens

-- excellent, my favorite lenses

3. b/w images only.

-- shame really since the 50's draw color so nicely

let's have some responses to this proposal.

-- here is mine in line

Titles could be:

"Many Eyes, One Lens"

"Many Eyes, x 50's" (where x = the number od distinct 50mm lenses used)

-- "Many Eyes, f../5cm

Thank you, Brian. Good catch.

Yes, please post in the picture thread. It's been made a sticky in the Other section.

That link is here:

The thread is closed (waiting for one other possible pic).

We have 41 photogs, 140 pix

Options:

1. Std paper, 8x10 horizontal = $40 / 50 / 53 (paper, hard w cover, imagewrap)

2. prem paper, 8x10 horiz = $46 / 57 / 61

3. Std paper, 11x13 horiz = -- / 98 / 102 (no paperback option)

4. Prem paper, 11x13 horiz = -- / 113/ 117

A. If we choose the 8x10, I will put page numbers on some of the pages with vertical images.

B. If we choose the 11x13, we can have page numbers on all the pages -- but without full-size images.

C. If we use the full page, then numbers on some of the vert image pages.

My choice would be #4 with #C (only some page numbers). This makes the images nice and big and still provides some numbers for navigation.

I plan an appendix with names, data (all optional).

I will post shortly with details and requirements for the images.

Regards to all,

Stephen, that makes a lot of sense, and is less expensive.

That would be option 2A, 8x10 horiz, with premium paper, and I'll put some page numbers in, where they don't interfere.

For those who have contributed to this book but not to the last one, you may view the entire earlier book at Blurb. Search on Many Eyes, One Camera.

I propose that this book be called "Many Eyes, One Camera -- 2010"

Would you all please send me (at wparsons@gis.net):

1. your name as you wish it to appear in the book -- and your LUF user name,

2. an email address (tell me if you wish this to appear in the book),

3. details about your picture (optional) -- name of pic, details of camera and lens, location.

You can see how this will appear if you look at the appendix of the book.

Regarding photos for Blurb,

1. JPG or PNG,

2. 150-300 dpi

3. less than 15mb

4. less than 4000 pixels on a side.

5. RGB or sRGB (they recommend this for b/w -- what's that all about?)

The guidelines seem less clear than last time.

Send me your best hi-res pgs's and I'll yell if I have a problem.
