jbhthescots Posted July 27, 2010 Share #1 Posted July 27, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I know there's probably a real easy answer to this (so everyone beat at my door at the one time, please), but I have just moved to LR3 and using Mogrify, but for some reason all the fonts I opt for never shows up the copyright symbol. Any solutions? Cheers, John

andybarton Posted July 27, 2010 Share #5 Posted July 27, 2010 ALT-G on a Mac. No need to remember all those numbers
jbhthescots Posted July 27, 2010 Author Share #6 Posted July 27, 2010 If only it were that simple! I have tried Alt-G - and although the symbol shows up in the text line in Mogrify as it should, it never prints it out on the photo, only my name. jaapv Posted July 27, 2010 Share #8 Posted July 27, 2010 Doesn't LR have a simple Text button, like CS?
elgenper Posted July 27, 2010 Share #9 Posted July 27, 2010 Ooops, sorry. Mac OSX Snow Leopard You can see all the characters that can be written with your keyboard in OS X in this way: Open System Preferences, go to the ´Language and text´ pane (trying to translate from my Swedish install, so it may be slightly different in ´real´ English... ). Select the rightmost dropdown, ´Input Sources´. See that the very top selection (´keyboard and character display´, or whatever) is checked, beside the keyboard layout(s) that you use. Also check the bottom item ´Show input menu in the menu bar´. Now, somewhere to the right in the menu bar, your patriotic feelings are aroused by the sight of your flag.... Click it, and select ´Show Keyboard´. You´ll get a clickable image of your keyboard, that modifies itself if you press one or more of the modifier keys (control, Esc, shift..). Either press the key in the image (if your cursor is at the insert point) or memorize the key combination for future use. (On my Swedish keyboard, the copyright symbol is Alt + 1 ; on an American one, it is Alt + g, just like Andy said). Being able to temporarily switch keyboard is also helpful in many other situations, like when one tries to find those ´americo-centric´ shortcuts that e.g. Adobe uses, and which are more or less impossible to use with at least a Swedish layout.
