How to upload images: Prepare the image as follows: 1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits 2.   Reduce the size to 2480 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended) 3.   Sharpen properly for screen. 4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 1000 kB (2000 kB for sponsoring members). 5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog. 6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “c

Where did you find a new Leica X1 in 2017?

Hi! I found one in HK 2 months ago. A very lucky find. It was in their inventory hiding for years  :) 

 

Excited to share photos from this little shooter.

After owning a lot of M camera's and also S now I finally got the "old" X1

What a wonderful camera it is and it might be outdated in the current digital age but I love it's design, the auto focus is not that slow, ISO performance is certainly better than M9, the lens is really sharp and the files do have that Leica look. Only thing i'm missing is a good macro feature. I Can't wait to shoot it in Bali next week.
