jaapv Posted July 13, 2010 Share #1 Posted July 13, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I got a nice third version from the buy-and sell here and tested it out today. Actually I was gobsmacked by the result. It is so much better than the previous versions. The resolution is close to any modern lens and the bokeh is better. This is @ 5.6 Sorry for the not so inspiring subject matter. Welcome, dear visitor! Advertisement Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 Hi jaapv, Take a look here Telyt-V 280/4.8 on M9. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
ronnysoh2009 Posted July 14, 2010 Share #2 Posted July 14, 2010 Didn't realize there was a 280mm on the M range of lenses. I wouldn't be able to put much use to a 280mm for myself, since my hand shakes quite abit. I tried the 135 Telyt before at shutter speed 1/15 ISO 640; 8 out of 10 shots were shaky. You're lucky you got 2 sharp ones. 135mm lenses generally should be shot at 1/250 or faster for consistent sharpness, or maybe down to 1/60 if you make special efforts to get steady. The 280 on a Visoflex can be very good, but dealing with a Visoflex is not everyone's cup of tea. I happen to like it and use the 65, 135, 280, 400/6.8 and 560/6.8 as well as a range of Photars and an Aristophot. Henning

Well... maybe you are not familiar on HOW Leicistes like to use old gear... the 280 is no more in the pricelist by over 25 years... (I think, 1984 was last year)

There is always some smart little bug that decides to try and steal the scene!
