wstotler Posted July 13, 2010 Share #25 Posted July 13, 2010 Wow! Nobody mentioned that they *did* add the Delete User option in a secret submenu, to which you can only be led by a Leica Tech on the phone: "Uh, yes, sir, glad you can see 'Delete User' now. Wait until I hang up the telephone and then press the Set button firmly and hold it for, eh, ten seconds. Yes, yes. It should clear up all of your troubles." Cheers! Will P.S. I rolled off my chair at the underwater housing option.
andybarton Posted July 13, 2010 Share #26 Posted July 13, 2010 Nobody *really* ever suggested that in a thread with a straight face. . . . Actually, I think they might have...
farnz Posted July 13, 2010 Share #27 Posted July 13, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I particularly like the new feature where holding down the Info and Delete buttons simultaneously allows you to use the Thumbwheel to scroll through a list of countries. When you press the Set button with the country of your choice showing on the LCD it displays the correct selection of lenses to take with you. Autofocus is slightly faster with 2.005 too. Pete. menos I M6 Posted July 14, 2010 Share #29 Posted July 14, 2010 The leather on my M8.2 still is peeling slightly at the back, while the paint continues, to come off the camera. This has been not fixed by the new firmware. Will Leica fix this? What is the turnover time nowadays for fixing the brassing?
epand56 Posted July 14, 2010 Share #30 Posted July 14, 2010 Will Leica fix this? What is the turnover time nowadays for fixing the brassing? Given it took over a year for the continuous shutter, to fix peeling and paint it will took at least a quarter of a century.
menos I M6 Posted July 14, 2010 Share #31 Posted July 14, 2010 Given it took over a year for the continuous shutter, to fix peeling and paint it will took at least a quarter of a century. I'll keep it for now then - now that I think of it, it doesn't hurt the eye too much anyway.
