If we accept the notion that photography is about shapes and light (I add composition), I think no matter if a flower (or anything) is freah or old, beautiful or ugly. What really matters is how light plays in those shapes. When I saw this dying flower in my condo's garden, I was seduced by its shapes. Luckily, the sun was in the right position for my shot!...
