There will be one of the regular NW meetings after the Summer Holidays no doubt.

Maybe it's time to come to Blackpool... (It's not like I'm there once or twice a week already :) )

A series of performance art events will be taking over the city centre on Sat 17 July and a group of us from RFF and Purelight will be meeting about 9am upstairs in the coffee shop at Picadilly Station.

It promises to be a good day out . Michael

Sounds great, Michael. May well be an opportunity to take advantage of.

Thanks for sharing. :)

Michael,

I'm a potential starter. I can get a train from London at half-past early o'clock that gets me into Piccadilly for 8.49 but getting across London at early o'clock without getting up just before I've gone to bed is proving to be a bit of a problem. I'll let you know if I can make it.

Pete.

Thanks for spreading the word Mike.

Just popped over from RFF to add my two penneth.

This is what's going on, on the day...

"On 17 July, Manchester city centre will be taken over by a range of performances as part of the city’s biennial micro-festival Hazard MMX.

Performances include a woman crushed by a knitted boulder, synchronized swimming in Piccadilly Gardens, 100 ‘Dorothys’ marching in unison and Scratch ’n’ Sniff cinema."

More info here.

Now if a woman being crushed by a knitted boulder can't tempt anyone into town then nothing will!

I'll be there of course. :)

Bob.

That all? Sounds like an average, dull, Thursday evening in 1970s Manchester to me. ;)

I'm working that week-end, enjoy yourselves. :)

Ha ha! I've got no copyright on it Mike!

Yep, meeting place is the usual cafe to the left of the escalators in Piccadilly at 10am.

My mobile number is available for anybody who wants to catch up with us later on.

A pie fight could be good, but I think we'd have to raise our game beyond that to even register amid the performance art maelstrom that that seems to be planned. ;)

Maybe if we formed two human pyramids? Perhaps we could have a competition to knit a roll of Tri-X?

I'm thinking on my feet here.

Hi All, I'll be around town later that day and will keep an eye open for you,

If you are looking for things to do try:

Cityco: Cityco works in partnership to manage and market city centre Manchester. Join our network today.

And this exhibition is quite close to David Stephens showroom, I'm sure he'd love to see you, esp. if you bring your plastic:)

Cheers

I'm in that exhibition. :)

David has seen enough of my plastic for the time being. However I may go in just to fondle his wares. ;)
