Apparently a lot of pros and journalists use Photo Mechanic, in particular because of the IPTC editing features. I find myself using multiple tools, as one or another is more optimum at certain things. On ingest, I automatically tag my contact info and copyright. I try to do some basic location and shoot information. Most ingest programs, including the bundled program that came with the camera can do this. For GPS, I like to use the venerable GraphicConverter, as it integrates well with Google Earth. For IPTC, rating and keywords, I find Bridge to be very good, allowing me to do both single and multiple phots.
