Advertisement Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 Hi Seeingeye, Take a look here Nokton 50mm f/1.1 Review. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
tmldds Posted June 25, 2010 Share #2 Â Posted June 25, 2010 Thanks for the info, Mike. I have been looking into purchasing this lens. I still have not made up my mind yet since I have been quite happy with my 50 Lux pre-asph. Tri:)
wilfredo Posted June 25, 2010 Share #3 Â Posted June 25, 2010 Tri, Â Check-out: http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/customer-forum/104411-noctilux-f-0-95-compared-voigtlander.html I purchased the Nokton and found it too soft wide open, but others haven't had this problem. I suggest testing the lens before walking out the door with it, or if buying on the internet, buy from a dealer that will give you a full refund if you decide not to keep it. eleskin Posted June 27, 2010 Share #4 Â Posted June 27, 2010 I do not have the 50mm f1.1, but I do have the 35mm f1.2 Nokton and find it razor sharp! Focus accuracy with the M8 is astounding when compared to the Noctilux f1.0 which I have as well. If you do not have the 35 f1.2, get it! Â These pics are at f1.2, 35mm Nokton, Leica M8. eleskin Posted June 27, 2010 Share #5 Â Posted June 27, 2010 Here is a B&W of the pic above. Nice sharpness and tone. I would buy the 35 f1.2 Nokton instead of the 50 f1.1, especially for the M8 or m9!

It could be informative to read this thread and my post #4 where I have experienced sample variation with the 35 1.2. The 35mm black one I have is a superb lens.  Bob.
