panganibanMD Posted June 22, 2010 Share #1 Posted June 22, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Although the Sony NEX series hasn't been released in the US yet, it has supposedly been released in Asia and a Japanese company has already produced adapters to fit various lenses...including Leica M lenses. Although I've read mixed reviews on the NEXs, the specs sound good and the test photos look pretty decent. It may be an alternative to using an Oly Pen...the Olys do look a hell of a lot better than the Sony though. martinb Posted June 24, 2010 Share #3 Posted June 24, 2010 If it works in terms of corner sharpness it'll be a much better option for M lenses compared to m4/3 which has a 2x crop and weak corner sharpness with wide M lenses. Apart from that the ergonomics, looks and lens selection for m4/3 is much better.
lct Posted June 24, 2010 Share #4 Posted June 24, 2010 Here's a test with the Sony NEX-5 + M 18mm F3.8 ASPH. Google Translate Interesting indeed. I did not expect vignetting to be that small. Does not need much sharpening either. Give me a cam like that with a decent viewfinder.
