jtharvie Posted June 22, 2010 Share #1 Posted June 22, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) So after years of scrimping and saving, I have a M8u and a 35 'cron (Canada). Here are the first two photos. Nothing spectacular but also nothing I could have done with my LC1. Thank you all for indulging me. All future photos will be posted on one of the photo forum posting areas. Cheers, jth PS. These are straight JPEGS from the M8u . . . no post other than export from iPhoto to desktop to post at proper size. AlbertoDeRoma Posted June 22, 2010 Share #2 Posted June 22, 2010 Nothing spectacular but also nothing I could have done with my LC1. JTH, as a fellow M8u as well as D2 owner, I congratulate you on your recent M8u +35mm 'cron acquisition. I have to ask, however, why you say that the LC1 could not have taken those shots? Frankly, I don't see anything special that makes those shots beyond reach of an LC1 (or D2). Am I missing something? Alberto

jtharvie Posted June 23, 2010 Author Share #4 Posted June 23, 2010 Yes DofF and Bokeh. The M8 is smaller and didn't attract attention. I had it slung across body under my mac' and was able to bring it to my eye, focus and take the photo without drawing attention. The LC1 with it's large rectangular lens hood seems to attract attention. Also I find the viewfinder easier to see through, I wear glasses and the LC1 wasn't always easy to view when there isn't bright daylight.
