DMR batteries

I suggest three !

I would completely agree with more than two. If you had a brand new DMR battery you might get 200 images before it gets low. But most DMR batteries are getting old ..my originals barely hold a charge for 100 captures.

The DMR is also very sensitive to a low battery or dirty contacts (see old threads on the DMR) ....nothing that you can t deal with but you don t want to be running the battery down to the last shot .

For the past few years the batteries have always come in batches ..available for a month and then out of stock. I buy two everytime they come out ..if you don t need them just wait until they go out of stock and sell them .

Has anyone figured out how to test the batteries ..on my Nikon I can get a diagnostic that shows how much life the battery has left. I ve been told they have to be tested under normal load .

3 batteries and 2 chargers.

The charger is so easy to fail.

My first charger dead killing a connected battery after some not fully charged batteries.

Another DMR battery problem is the very short battery end alarm and together with the low actuation number are both a nightmare.

I did a Job in a theatre two weeks ago with my EOS 1 DS III with the power consumption of autofocus and stabilizer and after more than 1000 actuations the battery was still good !!!

In this way a couple of batteries are more than enough.

Also Canon gives a battery diagnostic test under normal camera load.
