stunsworth Posted June 18, 2010 Share #2 Posted June 18, 2010 It's such a vague survey I get the impression he's fishing for email addresses.
Guest stnami Posted June 18, 2010 Share #3 Posted June 18, 2010 Yea just as one cannot unsubscribe from his mailing list, despite sending an email and not being a subscriber to his private party. As for the survey it smacks of the Peter Paul setup
dkCambridgeshire Posted June 18, 2010 Share #4 Posted June 18, 2010 I wish Sean and /or LuLa was doing a survey on APS digital compact cameras for Leica dunk
NZDavid Posted June 20, 2010 Share #5 Posted June 20, 2010 Anyone could do a survey, why not? But why so negative, why not say how you see the future of DRFs? Me, I reckon Leica should keep them as is, just make them as reliable and robust as possible, and more affordable. Ahem. Look forward to reading the results. jonoslack Posted June 20, 2010 Share #6 Posted June 20, 2010 I'm with David why on earth not do it? - the article might well be interesting, added to which it's likely that Leica will be listening, after all, Sean was on the August trip to Leica before the launch of the M9. Can't see that it does any harm to voice one's opinions.

jonoslack Posted June 20, 2010 Share #8 Posted June 20, 2010 Good free idea. Here are my responses FWIW You forgot about weather sealing
lct Posted June 20, 2010 Share #9 Posted June 20, 2010 You forgot about weather sealing Not sure how useful body sealing may be when lenses are not sealed but i've been using Ms for 30+ years w/o sealing so i don't care much about this so far. jonoslack Posted June 21, 2010 Share #10 Posted June 21, 2010 Not sure how useful body sealing may be when lenses are not sealed but i've been using Ms for 30+ years w/o sealing so i don't care much about this so far. Hi there I understand what you're saying. But a little moisture in a film camera isn't important. I've had 3 digital cameras die as a result of water. If the dials and body and LCD were sealed one could relax about that. None of the dead cameras was a leica by the way, but a Ricoh died as a result of one little splash. lct Posted June 21, 2010 Share #11 Posted June 21, 2010 Yes why not but Sean asked about things that 'should' be added to current Ms and weather sealing is not on my list so far. YMMV of course.
