Shoreline

Kurt- Beautiful color and composition in your overcasted scene, but I'm thrown out of balance by the strongly OOF immediate foreground of the very dominating and important stony beach, which I feel begs to be IN focus as it sweeps up to your daughter. Certainly beyond her the more OOF the better as it further mystifys the darkish, distant shoreline. Might the 75's shallower DOF forced a choice in this 'deep' image?

I'm at odds with others here but anyway that's my take - admitting up front I've been deep into 8x10 where one always (not rightly necessarily) strives for max DOF and absolutely NO OOF!

Kurt -

Based on this and the earlier photo of your daughter (which is superb) you really got her something she likes a lot. This photo too is excellent for several reasons: subtle colors, selective focus, details, and placing the picture elements so they form two triangles.
