ezc203 Posted June 6, 2010 Share #1 Posted June 6, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hey guys, kind of panicking right now because I noticed a few water stains on the sensor as I was giving it its weekly blow-cleanse. I have an idea how it got there, a good-hearted-but-often-trouble-making friend was blowing into the shutter chamber because he had thought it was dirty. I stopped him as soon as I noticed what he was doing, but apparently not early enough. How can I remove this stain? I noticed it is affect my images. The corresponding spot on the image shows a small, but very noticeable dot. What should I do?!?! Needless to say, I am quite upset. Any advice will be greatly appreciated!! jaapv Posted June 7, 2010 Share #5 Posted June 7, 2010 Just a tip: Don't clean the sensor "weekly" Just give it a blow when the spots are gtting too numerous and you have to spend too much time cloning in PS. That may be after a day or after a month.
ezc203 Posted June 7, 2010 Author Share #6 Posted June 7, 2010 Thanks Jaap, in my OP, I meant that I give my sensor a blow once a week to keep the dust spots to a minimum. As for actually cleaning the sensor, I haven't done it since I bought the camera.
