Dear Guy, dear Leicafriend,

What is this side and forum inspiring !! We all are creating, making beautifull images and the whole world is here on your side and we talk and we see.

I hope that this strong bond will go further in 2007 and that we can see more of your work and your help and assistance. A warm salute from the Netherlands,

Rob

Have you ever shot with the 35 1.2 Nokton on an M8. I've been wanting to look at one but have heard conflicting stories. One person has used with no known problems and has had excellent results. A dealer tells me that he cannot get it coupled to an M8 so that it works at 1.2 and another person tells me that it is stiff focusing when you set at 1.2 and yet another person says it works fine. Anyone have any comments is appreciated.

Scott, in my case the lens works fine but won't focus to infinity unless I force it. I'm not willing to do that just yet! It has two boad lugs on either side of the rear element (I suspect to protect the rear element if the lens is placed on a surface on its rear end) and these impinge on the sides of the throat of the camera.

Chris. Why not grind the offending lug down? Why do you think that God made dremel motor tools.

I agree , nothing is too sacred for the Dremel tool to get a piece of gear to work for you. Grind that sucker down. Just get that Blue painters tape that you can find at like a home depot since it leaves no residue and just tape everything real tight so no metel gets in the rear element than just grind them down with the dremel and maybe use a hand nail file just to get it smooth at the end. I had a 5d for 5 minutes and had the mirror shaved for my Leica glass, whatever gets it to work is my motto

Nice images Guy and kudos to your daughter for taking such a great portrait. I particularly like the message she captured on the passing taxi - something I have been aspiring to since I started buying Leica. :)

Glad to see you had a wonderful holiday.
