unlearny Posted June 2, 2010 Share #1 Posted June 2, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have many R lenses, so when I saw a barely used S1 available on the Bay I had to bite. I'm wondering if any experienced pros could help suggest some technology to go with the S1. I assume I will need a mac G5 tower to begin with, running an early version of X. Can the images from this camera be stitched? Identical images stacked for higher resolution? Let me know what you think and I'll post results as I EXPERIMENT. ... Thanks... I'm new by the way, hello everybody. -Andy

georg Posted June 3, 2010 Share #2 Posted June 3, 2010 Congrats! A very interesting piece of technology! The German board-member "reprobit" has quite some knowledge about the S1 and here is an older thread with some brochure images: http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/digital-forum/13077-leica-s1-digital-camera-1997-a.html Keep us updated! philipotto Posted June 3, 2010 Share #3 Posted June 3, 2010 Welcome Andy, I can't say I have any technical advise, but I do look forward to seeing your results. Philip
Overgaard Posted June 3, 2010 Share #4 Posted June 3, 2010 Hallo and welcome. That's an interesting experiment that will be interesting to follow. All I know is that it runs on Silverfast software. And that it will probably like to have its own dedicated computer to work with.
