This is what I found - E55

doesn’t say anything about another option/models/versions

You will see when you receive the lens, with serial number from start it was for Series VII but Leitz could modify for E55 in the past.

As seen this chart was "current" Leica M lenses (rather newer than the serial number you provided).

From the serial I provide above which filter so I need?

What modification you’re talking about? How to check?

Many years ago, as traditional in Leitz history, the company offered to update old cameras and lenses, when possible.

In my litterature ( don't ask me more! ), I learned some modifications offered on lenses which accepted old style size filters (Series...) to modern size Exx.

So if the lens at first was Serie VII filter (M54 x 0.75) modified by Leitz later ( at a cost from customer request ! ) to accept E55 filters (M55x0.75), the only way to know is

having the lens to verify, if not having the receipt of modification (Serie VII to E55) or as I stated some posts before looking if the ring 14161 attached meaning non modified filter thread = accept only Serie VII filters.
