Once the home of Thomas Pynchon and a band of world renown oil painters, composers, graphic artists & yes..photographers. This is one of the narrowest "streets" in all of Manhattan. One of my favorites. About mid-block, the old was destroyed and 2 huge glass condos (one byRichard Meier) were erected. Now lots of rich folks live where there was once a highly artistic community that left a significant mark on the world. How stupid.
