Stuny, Herb, Paul and JRM, thank you very much.

JRM, I must thank you again for giving me the right name of this flower. I shot it in a flower shop and forgot the name.I googled and noticed Dahlia had the closest looks!... Now I googled again and realised you were absolutly right! Thanks! :)

Regards,

Thank you so much for your very encouraging words, Ece.

I am so ignorant about the name of flowers. I have another shot that I like to post, but I have no idea what it is called! ;(

I can appreciate the expertise that has gone into this picture, Louis, as I find these very, very difficult flowers to photograph. Every year I try and every year I fail. I was beginning to think that only painters can do justice to the peony but you and your Dlux4 and your skilful processing have brought photography back into the game.

Looking out of the window as I write this, I can see a bright pink peony lifting its head above the foliage. Now, where’s my camera . . . .

Call it "untitled" and post, we'll get to enjoy your work, and I'm sure someone will name it, so we'll know what it is! :)

Albert, euston, Ece, Tri and Ben, your kind comments are very much appreciated; thanks.

Robert, please show us your shot of "Peony". I am sure with or without your M9, you can make a masterpiece!

Louis,

I had to come back to this. I was over at the Getty past weekend and this belongs next to those Dutch still life paintings that they have on their walls. It has a remarkable old master feel to it. Exquisite.
