jyrkialanen Posted May 16, 2010 Share #1 Posted May 16, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello! Has anyone ordered Leica lenses online from Newoldcamera Italy? I have a Nocti fever, and they seem to have several in stock with reasonable prices, but it's hard to find any information of the payment methods and shipping costs from the website -at least with my Italian skills:) Best regards, Jyrki

Overgaard Posted May 16, 2010 Share #3 Posted May 16, 2010 You can also use http://babelfish.altavista.com to get the site translated (put in their URL in the babelfish translator and you can browse the full page in English - not perfect English, but probably better than your Italian ;-) They're worth checking. Some of the lenses seem to have higher value in Italy than in for example UK and Germany, and others are very economical with NewOldCamera.

luigi bertolotti Posted May 16, 2010 Share #5 Posted May 16, 2010 I know them very well (I live 1 hour from the shop) : stay confident: they are very expert, honest, trustable people; the owner told me many months ago that he had put ensemble, in many years, a huge stock of Noctlilux... and that some day I would have started to offer tham for sale: time seems to be arrived... jyrkialanen Posted May 27, 2010 Author Share #10 Posted May 27, 2010 Thanks to you all for recommending the Newoldcamera. I ordered the Nocti 1.0 and recieved it yesterday. What a smooth transaction and excellent service, highly recommended! ...And of course, what a lens! I wish it didn't rain all the time so I could go out shooting:) Best regards, Jyrki
kanzlr Posted May 27, 2010 Share #11 Posted May 27, 2010 I only bought one lens from them and was not that satisfied. Not a Leica lens, but a Mamiya one. They told me it was optically flawless, and that wasn't true. It had a FAT brown spec (looked like worm poo) in the center of one of the inner elements. They refused to take it back or to cover the cleaning costs... in day to day use it was no problem at all, of course, but when I sold all my mamiya stuff it did cost me a bit in value degradation.
