I have the 28-90 zoom lens for my R9. Bought it about eighteen months ago and is one of my favourite lens for my R9. About three months ago,I dropped my camera bag containing my R9 and the mounted 28-90 onto the floor of my office (carpeted). It wasn't a long fall and I did not worry about it. Anyway,I now notice that there is some movement in the lens when mounted on the camera - if I put my hand on the front of the lens,I can actually feel movement on one side of the lens and I can see about 1mm of movement on one side. It seems not to be mounted completely rigidly onto the camera body. Also I now notice decentering between long and short focus. Not surprising!

Having siad all this,I am still taking photos with it and they seem sharp. However I would like to have this fixed.

Is this somewthing that Leica Solms will be able to fix?

Anyone with similar experience?

Thanks.

Did you look for these movements before the camera bag was dropped?

I would suggest that you continue using the lens unless you notice a problem with the photos.

Yes,there was no movement when I first received the lens.I only noticed it recently and am assuming that it is related to the drop.

When I carry the camera around with the lens mounted (ready for shooting),you can feel a movement in your hand. I couldn't place it at first, thought it was in the actual body but then I realised that I could push the lens in towards the body slightly on one side.
