Tulpenwahn Posted May 11, 2010 Share #1 Posted May 11, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I know from this forum that Luigi is said to be trustworthy in making and delivering cases and halfcases. In fact I have been waiting for one month now (after payment) and I am getting a little bit angry. Plus: he is answering emails only irregularly (roughly every third email is answered and I am definitely not writing one email per day). Do you recently have similar problems? I am a little anxious that Luigi is not delivering at all and I urgently need the case for a longer trip coming soon.

I am also waiting a bit long this time. The first two times where very quick since he had the stuff in stock. I guess he is sold out... He does forget to answer sometimes but he usually delivers correctly.
andyb Posted May 11, 2010 Share #4 Posted May 11, 2010 I ordered an "aged brown" half case about 10 days ago and it took him 5 days to deliver to Switzerland because the case was in stock already. The e-mails were all answered promptly, maybe because correspondence was in Italian language. He was very friendly and it was a pleasure doing business with him. Didn't he give you any information about a delay in delivery? Greetings from Ticino, Andreas

I just received my new half case with two openings at the bottom for the battery and SD card and Mmate2 plate. My initial inquiry was on April 26, next day I transferred the money and received everything on May 7. All my questions and emails were answered in due course. Case and plate are perfect, no complains whatsoever. Such a relief now when you change battery of SD card. I ordered from him in the past with no problems. I am hearing complains from time to time but in my case everything was seamless. BTW I just sold my "old" but still great looking two year old half case for $160 to the local dealer. wilfredo Posted May 11, 2010 Share #8 Posted May 11, 2010 I got my M8 half case pretty quickly but when I ordered a soft shutter release button the order was delayed, and it took longer than it should have, so he sent me two for the price of one. I suggest you contact him and ask why it's taking so long? He is good about responding to e-mails.
tdtaylor Posted May 11, 2010 Share #9 Posted May 11, 2010 Last week I received a custom neck and wrist strap and a M-Mate. The Custom work I received in a little over three weeks, and the M-Mate in 4 days. He mentioned that custom work takes three weeks, so he was right on the money. This is opposed to earlier this year after January when just getting him to reply was taking weeks and weeks.

jaapv Posted May 12, 2010 Share #11 Posted May 12, 2010 Because of this thread I sent Luigi a mail yesterday. Reply this morning. As said: a gentleman and a man of his word Dear Jaap, I am always sincere. I totally neglected your payment! With TONS of my apologies I will ship your items soon tomorrow with Fedex priority [...] Look, 02.02 hours in the night.... Now THAT is good customer service ! Any business can make a mistake, it is the solving that counts.
Tulpenwahn Posted May 12, 2010 Author Share #12 Posted May 12, 2010 Like jaapv I am also not upset (because of Luigi's friendliness and because of the good reports in this forum). It's just that it takes a little bit too long and answers to emails are too rare. I hope the case will be delivered within two months (this is during the next three weeks). Brent1965 Posted May 13, 2010 Share #13 Posted May 13, 2010 I've had three of his straps, meaning three of his "customer service" experiences The man is charming and he sells beautiful products. But I'd dearly love to help him out with his website and I think he needs help sorting out the workflow...I get the impression he's doing everything himself, struggling under a mountain of "where is my strap" emails because of the crazy poor italian mail service and customers expecting Royal Mail delivery times - meanwhile all his parcels I've recieved even have personally handwritten addresses on them - inefficent madness!!!! I've learned this, be clear what you want, tell him in the subject line you are making a purchase enquiry, use nothing other than fedex option, pay him correctly (again with clear message in paypal info line) and ask him to address your parcel clearly. Your product will arrive in about a week..
ricnak Posted May 14, 2010 Share #14 Posted May 14, 2010 I had a Luigi "delay" too. It went on for months. He ended up sending me a full case with the incorrect specifications. He did not want me to send it back because of high taxes in Italy. Asked me to hang on to it until he could give me an address to forward it on. Sent me the correct case afew months later without an address to send the other one to. So now I have 2. Not sure what to do with the other one. I have not heard back from him. Was thinking of trying selling it for him on one the forums, but it probably sound like a dodgy deal to the average Leica case shopper. My stepfather is Italian. Very similar mannerism to Luigi. Passionate about his stuff. I feel like I need to help him all the time. I feel that Luigi needs some help too. If anyone is interested .... It is a full case with the standard Luigi bump (not grip). Rear door is detachable. The case is black with red stitching. It is brand new in the box and ready to go. It is in AUSTRALIA! PM for more details that you can confirm with Luigi. Payment to Luigi. andreaffm Posted May 15, 2010 Share #15 Posted May 15, 2010 Three months here. Still patient, still no scratch on my M9. But I might send another reminder.
jtorrents Posted May 16, 2010 Share #16 Posted May 16, 2010 Just received a half case from Mr. Crescenzi in less than a week (from Italy to Spain). Once again, wonderful service. Thanks Luigi! Joaquin
poptart Posted May 16, 2010 Share #17 Posted May 16, 2010 I ordered a custom neck strap from Luigi recently and it did take about 3 emails before he responded (over about 3 weeks) but he did respond today and is working on making it for me. He is so nice and careful in his craft that it is a pleasure to do business with him. I don't mind the wait at all, to get such quality products. Rick Posted May 16, 2010 Share #18 Posted May 16, 2010 Waiting for a full case with detachable snub nose 45 in rally. When it arrives I hope it is rapped in old Leica Time magazines like the half case I ordered for my M8. Beyond charming. Anybody else have their order wrapped this way? Tulpenwahn Posted May 18, 2010 Author Share #20 Posted May 18, 2010 Mr Creszenzi told me in an email yesterday that he would be able to deliver my case at the end of the month. Well then, at least he is answering again and it sounds honest all the time.
