All,

I placed a WTB ad in the classifieds but am not sure if many forum readers read those pages, so....

I am looking for the Rifle Stock to be used with the Visoflex and long tele lenses on my M9

Anyone interested in selling his or hers, of know of one available please contact me.

Thank you in advance.

You're a rich man. The RIFLE stock is one of the rarest and most sought after accessories around. Should a complete set with the lengthened pentaprism come to the market I would expect a price of at least 75.000 USD. The last one that came to auction made 55.000 USD at Tamarkin in 2007. Only a few were made in 1938 and 1939 for use with the PLOOT reflex housing. That means it is for screw-mount cameras only.

some Telyt lenses come with a rifle stock

my 560 f5.6 has one

I got mine as a bargain buy from KEH a few years ago for well under $1K

I used it with the M8 where its alleged edge softness was not a problem

I haven't used it with my M9

My Telyt 560 came with one also, metal, not very usable IMO, Much better on a tripod.

Would cause an 'interesting' reaction out on the streets!

Yes, can you imagine the reaction if you used it to try and take some snaps of the Queen during trooping the colour or Obama on a walkabout. Alternatively, try explaining to the friendly Mr Plod doing a section 44 search that you are not Edward Fox from The Day of the Jackal.

Wouldn't an SLR be a simpler solution? For the 75,000 you could have a Canon1ds and a really long lens and an S2 and some lenses and a nice car too.
