Hey You Posted May 9, 2010 Share #1 Posted May 9, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) According to what I have read, the M9 "imputes" the f-stop setting of a lens by comparing the reading given by the light sensor on its body to the through-the-lens reading from the light meter. If I use Lightroom, it specifies the aperture setting on the image, However, if I use iPhoto, while there is an aperture field in the EXIF data for my images, it is blank. Can someone please enlighten me?

sandymc Posted May 9, 2010 Share #2 Posted May 9, 2010 Lightroom decodes the Leica maker notes, iPhoto doesn't. Sandy

scott kirkpatrick Posted May 9, 2010 Share #4 Posted May 9, 2010 Somebody at Lightroom talked to Leica, or talked to Sandy McGuffog, or both, and found out where the information about the guesstimated aperture is hidden. It is not in the normal EXIF data. Phase One also did that. Maybe Aperture, too. But IPhoto hasn't gotten there yet, I guess. scott PS, Sandy answered this while I was doing something else. vintola Posted May 9, 2010 Share #5 Posted May 9, 2010 Aperture does not show it, either. I have sent feedback to Apple. - vintola -
